Well over a hundred diseases make up a disease category referred to as Cancer. This disease, probably more than any other, strikes a unique sense of fear and foreboding into anyone whose physician tells them that the evidence shows that they are suffering from a cancer. The mission of the cancer center is to address that disease and fear to the best of our ability. We do this in three dimensions:

Body

Our physicians, nurses and therapists are highly skilled, well educated induiduals who offer to their patients all that they have available in terms of medical skills, medicines and technology.

Mind

This center has been designed to help our patients find release for the stress that they deal with to assist in building for them a sense of hope. Our desire is that patients and their loved ones recognize that they are not in this battle with cancer alone, nor are they the only ones who have dealt or are dealing with the uncertainties that such a diagnosis brings.

Spirit

Wherever possible we have developed this center in such a way as to allow natural light into all areas of the building. We have included nurtural material into what we see and hear and we have included colors that are found in the natural world. All because when we recognize that we are part of a larger, natural system of life with rhythms and harmonies our body begins to release the stresses that would otherwise reduce the effectiveness of the care that is being provided.

This center is dedicated to tomorrow and all the wonders that tomorrow will bring for each of us.
